Изменение TextView в Popup

[Rustam]

Добрый вечер!
Такой вопрос:
КОД:
public void popup_create(String err_message){

LayoutInflater inflater=(LayoutInflater)
this.getSystemService(Context.LAYOUT_INFLATER_SERVICE);
View layout=inflater.inflate(R.layout.pop_wind,
(RelativeLayout) findViewById(R.id.pop_element));

pop_wind=new PopupWindow(layout, 400, 400, true);

TextView mess=(TextView)findViewById(R.id.pop_text);
mess.setText(err_message);

pop_wind.showAtLocation(layout, Gravity.CENTER, 0, 0);
pop_wind.update();
work=false;

}

Текст не меняется хоть убей
пытался пользовать вместо Popup Dialog - таже петрушка

что не так делаю?
